I have been an artist for as long as I can remember, but my journey as a rug hooking pattern designer started in 2017, after my Nana introduced me to an article in a Rug Hooking magazine. I had completed a few sheep paintings and thought that they would be great translated into patterns. After I gathered a few designs, I took a leap of faith and shared them to various rug hooking groups on Facebook. The response was incredible-and the rest is history! Since then, i have had the most wonderful opportunities working alongside other wool workers and designing custom pieces for clients.
Living and working in Vermont offers no shortage of inspiration. Churches, farms dotting the countryside, changing seasons, wildlife...all inspire my work. I enjoy painting, sewing, working in pen and ink, restoring antiques and treasure hunting in thrift shops, frequenting "free piles" in search of materials to incorporate into sustainable artwork. Each piece of my custom artwork tells a story, blending tradition with a modern touch. Come explore the beauty of art that connects with nature and history!
